Tsion Kebede

Founding partner, special education and IEP disputes

Tsion spent six years writing IEPs as a teacher. Now she reads them for parents.

Tsion started the firm after years as a special education teacher in Northern Virginia classrooms, where she sat on the school’s side of the IEP table. She knows how a team writes goals under time pressure, and where a plan tends to go vague.

She handles the firm’s special education and IEP dispute work, from first evaluations to due process hearings, and records the walk-through videos on this site.

Working with Tsion

Tsion reads every evaluation twice: once for what it says, and once for what it leaves out. Parents get her notes in writing before any meeting.

Outside the office she coaches a middle school robotics team in Fairfax on Saturday mornings.

Call or write to the office, and ask for Tsion by name.

A first call doesn’t make us your lawyers; a signed engagement letter does.
